- Well I'm kind of glad I'm not the only one w/modem probs.
-
- Most of the time I connect and STAY just fine. But sometimes I get
- periods when I get disconnected CONSTANTLY. I've got a ROCKWELL 28.8k
- v34 using WIN95 & OS/2 and I always connect at 28.8k. But when start
- dropping carrier I can't keep a connection for sh&t. My ISP has Hayes,
- AT&T and USR (Sportsters) all 28.8. But I can connect to all but the
- USR Sportsters, whenever I dial their # I get a message saying there is
- NO DNS for the site. Anyone know why that might be? I have a dedicated
- IP address and in Win95 Inet settings I use my IP address and in the DNS
- settings I use my ISP name server.
-
- If anyone happens to have some thoughts I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
